is this eating disorder?

I have a friend that fills her plate very full at every meal even dessert. She makes a huge bowl of ice cream loaded with all the fun extras that would feed 3-4 and throws most of it away. She is average weight too. She eats a reasonable amount but always wastes food and throws it away never saving any for another meal. She has little money and yet wastes so much food. Is this a eating disorder?

I have an eating disorder but have never heard of this. Does she ever go to the bathroom immediately after she eats? Have you ever asked her why she does this? The only thing I can think of is hoarding because she does have little money, the fear of never having enough so get what you can now? I'm not any doctor though but that's all I can think of. I hope you can get some answers and let me know what you find out. Good luck.
