Shy Drager/MSA diagnosis

by Sully500, Nov 22, 2007 02:39PM
I had a tilt test 2 years ago and passed out within 9 minutes. I have fallen and had at least 100 stitches in my head. My orthostatic hypotension has gotten worse despite that I am on Florinef and Midodrine 3x's each a day.. BP is all over the place. Last week the hospital couldn't even get a reading!. My gait is awkward and I feel like I am goig to trip ofer my own feet. This is seperate from the syncope I get from the OH. I have supine hypertension. I wake up at 2am and my BP is 210/110!
In the morning, lying down I get a 105/60; standing I get 70/40, sitting I get 90/50. I have been to all the "ologists"! Going in this week to check with the cardiologist. Neurologgist just says it is"multi system" but thats all he said. I had an EMG done on my right side (why just there I don't know"") but it was fine.I am also in stage 4 renal failure, but no obvious symptoms. I have had IgA nephropathy for 20 years and now it is acting up!. My neuphologist is sending me to a urologist next week to have a cyctoscopy! (Needless to say, I am not thrilled with that.
Could you possibly give me some indication that I should pursure the MSA further, even though I have to be dead for them to look at my brain. I a 53 and in good health relatively speaking.I now have a "suppoet" dog to keep me rom falling as well as a cane. Any chance you could let me know what I am in for! Thank you so much for taking the time to read this rather lengthy letter
