Pericardial Effusion

by Meat813, Nov 22, 2007 08:09PM
I am a 22 year old male that went through a kidney transplant 6 months ago. About a month after transplant I had some set backs…Prograf toxicity, pneumonia, and slight rejection. My kidney appears to be doing well but I have developed Pericardial Effusion. The Dr’s were not worried about it because it is not interfering with my heart function, but now I have unexplained fluid in my lungs for the third time. I have been tested for infection and they have come back negative. So you feel that the Pericardial Effusion could be causing the fluid? Should I have it drained?
