6-yr-old BACK PAIN question??

our daughter had severe back pain and plain films showed a 6 degree scoliosis at her upper thoracic area.  CT scan was "normal".  her pedi. is guessing there was an injury that we were not aware of and referred for PT.  she has now had 15 PT sessions and pain has diminished a great deal, but is still there intermittently.  we now notice she has significant WEAKNESS in the same area; has a hard time lifting her left arm over her head, even though she is very athletic and active.
what is our next step?  do we need to worry about a progressive disease?  what could be the problem causing this?  we are mystified.  she is totally healthy otherwise, just mild eczema and egg allergy.  no other areas of pain or weakness.
thank you so much in advance for any help!!!
