Brown vaginal discharge and vaginal itching

I haven't yet had my period and have recently been experiencing extreme vaginal itching. Most serious at nights, the itching comes and goes and can usually be ignored enough to sleep and is gone in the morning. It usually occurs when my vaginal area feels wet. On top of this problem, the last couple of days I have been experiencing abdominal pain for hours at a time (but fleeting). I also noticed a thick brown vaginal discharge when my stomach hurts. Am I close to getting my period or could I have an infection?

It could be PID.  I'm not sure though.  PID can be caused by douching & if left untreated can cause infertility.  I would go to a doctor.  It's better safe than sorry.  All the best.

I would go to a gynecologist.  It could possibaly be an infection.  Have you ever douched or lost a tampon up there?
