Nose Peeling

Its hard to describe but with the recent cold weather the skin on the tip of my nose and directly under it(very high on upper lip) have begun to harden and peel. On the tip of my nose especially its worse, i can feel an odd sensation and it hurts to touch at times. It almost looks like i've skinned my nose or something. What is this and what can I do to treat it?
