growth around anus

by skd66, Nov 28, 2007 11:30AM
dr. i have noticed that i have a growth around my anus. it does itch sometimes and i have noticed some small ammounts of blood in my stool. the growth is on both sides of the anus. i have had straight unprotected sex. the growths have been present for about 4 months. i thought they would just go away but no such luck. it doesn't resemble a wart it is like one large mass on each side of the anus.

This is most likely an external hemorrhoid, or blood vessel.  These are common in this area and have nothing to do with sex.  Just leave it alone and show it to a doctor next time you go.

Best.
