severe mca stroke and bleeding

by thefool, Nov 28, 2007 10:19PM
when  someone, my  mother, suffers a severe stroke of this type AND the mri shows the brain is still bleeding does anyone know if there should be further scans done to insure bleeding has stopped?  They want to transport her but we don't know if the bleeding has stopped

it depends wehre she is going:   if she's going to a better center, then 'yes' transport her asap.   if she's being transferred out of the hospital, make sure the bleeding is stable and not WORSENING before transferring her out.   if she's been stable for a few days, then it is probably ok
