i really really need some advice.
today i was at a local community recreational center and i was waiting for my girlfirend to come out of her cpr class and i went into the bathroom and the was three sinks. i CANT remember which sink i went to first but i went and got some soap and i was loking at the saop dispensor and for some reason i looked down at the sink to the far right , right next to the soap dispensor and there was blood drops all over the sink and some on the counter and some on the nozzle where the water comes out of. i immediatley freaked out. i went the the farthest sink and i washed my hands and i even think i washed my face with water. im freaked out casue i CANT remember if i used that sink or not and i think i may have. i went and told the guy who works there about the blood and he went and cleaned it up and he said that sometimes bums would come in there and use the bathrooms and shave and stuff. Thats exactly were those little droplets came from. i dont have any real large open cuts on my hands that are bleeding but i have real dry hands that crack and stuff because there so dry. i didnt touch any of the blood on the sink because i just washed my hands but there was some blood on the nozzle and although i didnt see any on the handle there could have been and i am worried that if i touched that handle and then i got blood on my hands and then i filled my hands up with water and splashed my face with it, i am freaked out and scared. is there any real risk from this,
No Risk! What the hell is the water in phoenix? You are insane and need help. Tell me the truth! Were you at the CPR class because they were using you as the "Dummy"?
suns: I have noticed that you have posted to the Drs. multiple times about NO RISK situations under different usernames over the past few weeks. That is against Medhelp policies (you are only allowed 2 posts in a 6 month period). IF you are truly seeking mental help for your phobia you should be voicing these concerns to your therapist and not the doctors on the HIV forum as you are preventing others who have risks from posting. And posting here is just wasting your time.
The next time I catch you doing that I will tell Medhelp and give them all the usernames that you've used, and hopefully from there they will be able to trace your IP address.
If you keep seeking help online you will continue to suffer from this aberrant thinking pattern you have and will be wasting your time and money. If you talk these thoughts out face to face with a therapist (and possibly get medication) then there is a good chance you can live free of this fear.
If you truly are already in therapy then I suggest seeing the therapist more frequently so you can channel this fear more appropriately (I suggest this out of compassion, not criticism, as Dr. HHH likes to say).

Teak you never replied on this one, tell me exactly what you think minus the whole " i need to seek mental health" part becuase i am doing that.
I have one of those blood phobias and when i saw it on the sink i freaked out and like i said it makes it worst when i cant remember if i used that sink or not.
Thanks yall. I know that there was probably no risk but i do have real bad OCD and i cant stand the sight of blood i get all freaked out. Its like someone who doesnt like spiders and the fell the spiders are always crawling on them. Thats how i am with blood. I saw it and i freaked out and i still cant remember if i touched any of the blood or not or worse splashing water on my face with blood on my hands. Dr. HHH told me it was no risk and i dont need any testifng but i am gonna now get tested at the 6 week mark and see what happens i guess.
no way. no how....and you already know this. Your problem is OCD....post on the Anxiety forum.
