pain during sex and solo orgasm

by lawoman, Feb 20, 2007 12:00AM
Hi everyone
I have a fibroid and ovarian cysts, am on Yasmeen/ get ultrasounds to watch/control. Periods ok, but recently, have had pain during intercourse, but worse than that, pain during orgasm even when I'm flying solo. That wont do, LOL. It seems to be in the lower left groin area and pubic bone, during contractions. I also had Interstitial cystitis 10 years ago but haven't had the symptoms in 5 years. Any idea what would cause the vaginal pain? Also just had check up and gyn and all fine, though I do get yeastie beasties more often than I care to. Dont haave one now, but have the pain. I'm 45, could it be perimenopause?
Any suggestions most appreciated.:)

Could be perimenopausal but that wouldn't explain the pain.  Do you have scar tissue that you know of in that region?

no scar tissue that I can think of.unless its adhesions from endo, possibly? sigh. guess its time for another ultrasound.

Maybe so -- it sounds like the kind of pain that adhesions can cause.

Hello, I have been experiencing a very similar pain during orgasm. It started a few months back. I never had this pain before and have been wondering what is wrong. It feels like a nerve pain and it starts to cramp up my uterus and then goes down the right side of my vagina into the right labia lips. It is very frustrating as I have enjoyed a very fulfilling sex life with my husband of 23 years. I am 44 years old. I also have had alot of ovarian cysts over the years and had one rupture when I was 22 years old. I was thinking maybe scar tissue or a large cyst.

can u repost this on the ovarian cyst forum? theres some folks there with too many years of cyst experience :)  from my own experience u jsut cant explain away pain .. especially since u have a history ... go get that transvaginal ultrasound ... knowing is half the battle :)
good luck
