Effexor augmentation

by regor62, Nov 29, 2007 08:50AM
Hello, I'm currently taking 300mg of Effexor every morning. I have talked to my Doctor about better manageing my depression with Wellbutrin. He seems to think this is ok. After reading some other messages on this forum about Effexor, it seems many patients are takeing doses in the morning and then again in the afternoon. Is this a better useage of the drug? I guess I feel I'm not getting the full benefit of the drug and is why I'm thinking of augmenting the Effexor with Wellbutrin, unless a dose of 150mg in the morning and 150mg in the afternoon is a much better way of manageing my depression rather than adding another medication?

Thank you
