tb test

by gretel56, Dec 01, 2007 08:51AM
had a tb skin test done 24 hours ago.  No sign of hard, raised bump, but there is a significantly wide  flat 'hive' or wheal (about 4 inches in diameter) around the injection site, with a more pink than red center (about 1 inch in diamter.)  I was tested in the same manner (two shot test) about two months ago - both negative).

Would this be considered a positive reaction?

This would not be considered a positive reaction.  The reaction is commonly read at 48 and 72 hours.  In the absence of induration >10 mm, it is considered negative.
