Plan B 2nd Pill Taken Late

I had sex on Wednesday about 9pm. Took first plan B pill on Thursday at 2pm, and I was late with the second pill, which I took on Friday at  9am. Could I be pregnant as a result? I have an increase in vaginal discharge, clear/ white- not a yeast infection? Am I just being a worry hat or is everything ok?

Hello,

Plan B is effective to prevent ~90% of pregnancies.  It is believed the two pills can be taken up to 24 hrs apart (the recommendation is to take them 12 hrs apart) and still maintain the treatment efficacy.

So, yes, you can still get pregnant (~10% risk).

Best regards,

Dr. Downing
