who should I believe?

My son was diagonoised with an ear infection on 11/24 and was given amoxicillan, on the 30th he had a fever of 101, and on the 1st 103. I took him to Urgikids and they said his ears were good and he most likley had the flu. No other flu systoms though. On 12/2 he woke up with a rash over his face, neck, and trunk. I took him to the ER and they said he was having a allergic reacton to amoxicillan, and had another ear infection. Today 12/3, the rash is much worse and over his entire body. We say yet another doctor that said there is no ear infection and she thinks it's either Roseola or Coxsachie. He has no sore throat, the rash is not blister like and it does itch! Please help I'm very concerened!

my son had the same problem. He had been on amoxicillan for about three days to treat  an ear infection then all of a sudden he spiked this really high fever a couple days later he started getting this rash. The fever was gone when he started getting the rash. It was during the heat of summer when this happen so I thought it was heat rash. The next day his entire body was covered head to toe with this rash. It was every where and I mean EVERYWHERE! The rash did not seem to bother him but I rushed him to the ER they told me it was either a bad reaction to the medicine or Roseola virus. They switched his medicine. a couple days later the rash was gone. Since then he has been on amoxicillan so I am confident it was Roseola and not a bad reaction to amoxicillan considering he never had problems the second time around with amoxilillan. The rash bothered me more then my son. If It is the same thing my son had your son should be all better in just a couple of days if not bring him back to the doctors.
