Heart Spasm

by Concernedcarrie, Dec 04, 2007 02:57PM

I have a 30 year brother who recently had a heart spasm.  This happened six years ago and the doctors ruled it a heart attack.  He experienced three spasms in which one was ruled the heart attack.  Now, six years later, it happened again.  One doctor said heart attack, another said it wasn't.  Does anyone know anything about this?  The doctor at a specialized heart hospital in the ICU said that he needs to take his medicine all of the time and keep healthy.  This is very scary and I would like to know if anyone knows the facts.  Is this like a heart attack?  If not treated by nitro immediately, it is fatal, right?  What are any tips or advice so we can be sure we can help him.  He doensn't know anyone with this problem.  He thinks that one night he wil not wake up.
