rash around 17 month's mouth

My 17 month old son has had little red bumps around his mouth for 6 weeks.  I've tried using lots of aquaphor on it, that didn't help.  My doctor calleed me in a script of Mupirocin ointment, I've used it for 9 days and it has done nothing also.  What should I do?

it could be thrash little ones get it but think it usally have bumps on tounge with it
