what is rash with vomiting in my 3 yr. old daughter

Last night my 3 yr. old woke up at 3 in morning vomiting; when she was falling asleep, she kept telling my husband that she itched all over. This morning when she woke up she had a red, blotchy rash on her face under her eyes but no where else.  She still has the red blotches but it don't really look like a rash and she hasn't vomited all day. She had a fever this morning but we got that broke.
Is this just the flu or should I be concerned due to the rash?

thank God.

glad she's better.

you're welcome!

that's very reassuring that it was probably only from broken capillaries

For some reason I wasn't aware that you had commented back. She is doing great now with no rash. The rash lasted about a day and then disappeared with the fever, thank God. I was getting really worried.
Thank you for helping.

Red/blotchy/rash after vomiting could be petechiae which is broken small blood vessels from the increased blood pressure during heaving/vomiting.

The one concerning thing is the fever, if it worsens, it's worth a visit to the doctor.
