unexplained low fever

by magikels, Dec 05, 2007 09:48PM
my dad's been diagnosed with DM about 4 years ago. he's on prednisone right now. About 3 weeks ago he's been admitted to the hospital due to pneumonia. He stayed there for a week until the bacteria is gone. Now, he's been having low fever for more than a week now. Lab test showed negative results for urinalysis. He also have his blood cultured because the doctor doesn't seem to know what cause his fever. It's been over a week now....is this fever another side effect of his medications for DM? He's just taking paracetamol for his fever, the doctor haven't prescribed any medications yet. We're all afraid that that this might be a symptom of another kind of disease for him. Please help....
