potty question

my son is nine years old. He is currently on Vyvanse. He has been diagnosed with ADHD. However I cannot get him to go to the bathroom by himself. He wont clean himself. I catch him holding it in. He has seen a psychiatrist for this problem and no it is not sexual abuse. That has already been ruled out. When I ask him why he is doing this,he tells me that he cannot feel it coming out. What should I do? He is too big to wear training pants. Any suggestions?

How long has this been going on??? Did it start with new meds? At nine,he should know how to use the bathroom and wipe his behind. Maybe this kid is controlling the only thing he gets to control and getting lots of attention from you. Leave the kid alone. Feed him fruits and veggis with some fiber and get him to drink lots of water. He'll go eventually. Let him know that you expect him to clean himself and bathes every day. One day sitting around in his messy drawers is mighty uncomfortable.. Going to the bathroom and bathing should be private and personal. Give the kid some space
