I took the pad of my fingertip off and the skin was hanging I cleaned it put bacetration it hurts alot!  I havn't gone to the hospitol, what sighs do I look for that I need medical attention or for infection.

When was your last tetnus shot?  If more than 10 years you certainly need a tetnus shot.  Other considerations are how did this happen and how contaminated the wound has become.   An infection of the hand can be VERY serious and can result in serious disability.  I would want you to go get this looked at, get a tetnus shot if needed, have the wound debrided and perhaps antibiotics if considered appropriate by the examining physician.

I closed it in a door and the latch caught my finger.  I'm not sure on a tetenus shot, do they give them when your operated on?  Right now the pad of my finger is throbbing and reddish-black.

People are not given a tetnus shot prior to surgery unless operating on a traumatic wound.  As a general rule, if one cannot when they had a tetnus shot, they get a new one when injured as you have been.   It sounds as if you are in pain with a worrisome sounding wound.  You need to seek medical care.
