Almost at my breaking point!

We have been trying to conceive for a little over 3 years, to no avail. I mean, not even a possible positive pregnancy! NOT ONE! (Yes, that's me yelling). I am approx. 50-60 lbs overweight & have been pushing away from the fried foods and pop/soda to assist my healthy weight loss. I was recently diagnosed with Bacterial Vaginitis. The OBGYN just said oh this is what you have, use this. So upon my research I learned this may cause infertility. What type(s) of test(s) do I need to request during my next visit? Anyone, please help! Either the stress or determination is going to get the best of me & i'd rather it be the pitter patter of little healthy bodied feet running around than either of those.

Hello,

Bacterial vaginitis does not cause infertility--that was misinformation.  Because you and your partner have been trying to conceive without success an infertility work up is in order.  This would include assessing if you are ovulating regularly, checking hormones to assess your ovarian reserve (FSH and E2), having your endometrial cavity imaged and your fallopian tubes tested for patency, along with a semen analysis for your partner.  A general ob/gyn should be able to initiate this work up.

I just finished the Metrogel treatments two days ago & the gel has formed into a thick yogart-like residue. Some of the remains remain inside my vaginal area also. Is there anything I can do to safely remove that or should it clear itself out after a few days of ending the treatment?
