What's Wrong?

by jayRobot, Dec 07, 2007 04:24PM
I was a car accident a couple of weeks ago. And I have a large bruise on my breast from the seatbelt. but now i noticed this morning I have an inverted nipple. I know know trauma can cause an inverted nipple. But is this something I should be worried about?

Hi.  You can have some swelling or bleeding inside your breast as a result of the traumatic injury, and this can exert a "mass effect" - act like a bulky lump and pull on the connective tissue underneath your nipples, causing it to invert.  Your inverted nipples should resolve as your injury heals, so this should not be cause for worry.
