Getting Pregnant

by emmy935, Dec 09, 2007 06:54AM
I am 28 years old and desperately trying to get pregnant. I went off the pill a little over a year ago and after 6 months of trying, tried Clomid for 2 cycles (both failed). I then tried injectible medications for 3 cycles. I got pregnant each time but had very early miscarriages all 3 times (I believe they call them chemical pregnancies). I feel at such a loss right now. I don't know if it's me or some other factor and it makes me very sad. The only possible thing I can think of is that I have probably have had some eating issues for most of my life (though not severe). I am 5'3 1/2" and about 104 lbs. My doctor has not expressed any concern about my eating habits but I worry that maybe that could be related. I know that my glucose levels were low during my first cycle of injectables. Any thoughts??

honestly, you have only been trying for 6 months. most couples will have fallen pregnant after 12 months, some it can take a bit longer but you don't know until you get there...

try to conceive without any medication or Clomid (?).

I have an ED and had it before I had my son, we were trying for 7 months and then were pregnant. I thought I couldn't fall pregnant and soon enough I was, I know it's hard not to feel so down about it but 6 months isn't too long for trying to fall pregnant.

Another friend of mine has an ED too. She was trying for her bub for over a year, and then fell pregnant again 2 months after bub was born!

just try without those meds if you can. Good luck!! :)
