basilar cranial fracture

by Drakkar, Dec 11, 2007 10:53AM
My girlfriend suffered a car accident last week, and the results were basilar cranial fracture, T4-T5 nerve entrapment and minor subdural hematoma. Apparently she has no detected CTF leak.
Since she woke up from the coma, she can't feel cold in her feet, loses equilibrium is she tries to walk.
Can anyone tell me if these are(can be) permanent symptoms and a possible remedy for these.
Thank you in advance.

Hello.

If it is a non-displaced fracture (wihch seems to be the case) usually heal themselves. It is not permanent.

A Neuro-surgeons opinion has to be saught regarding the sub-dural hematoma.

Yes the fracture is linear and the hematoma is treated passively.
