my 6 month old has what doctors call excema but my cousin's son also had the same exact rash and it was a milk allergy. We change his formula to lactose free and it has helped all over his body but his cheeks which ooze at night and are dry and cracky my parents and in laws are afraid of scarring my doctor has prescribed a face cream and using cetaphil lotion the face cream i think doesnt work cause when i put it on, my son cries and his cheeks get RED then if i lotion his face with cetaphil every 30 minutes each day it clears up i dont know what to do we have a dermatologist appointment on the 18th only to please my mother in law all she cares about is his future appearance and she called me stupid for cancelling his first dermatologist appointment cause we couldnt afford it till next pay day

i have excema, luckily my kids dont, but i quit getting the perscribed lotion for it because it burned,  but when i was little, my mom used crisco--and it helped, didnt make it go away, but made it tolerable.
