calcified lymph nodes

by lizzyfrizzy, Dec 12, 2007 09:46AM
My 19 year old son was diagnosed with kidney stones.  He had a cystoscopy in which they couldn't find the stone, nor could they find it through x-rays.  Now the doctor is saying it looks like a calcified lymph node.  Could this have anything to do with an appendectomy he had 2 years ago?  Do this lymph node need to be removed?  Does it cause any pain or lead to any other problems?
Thanks for your help.
