Marble sized lump on the left labia lip!

by Meisha04, Dec 14, 2007 02:14PM
I noticed a lump/knot in my groin region when i was in the shower on Wednesday. It has never been there before and it just showed up. I am kind of scared because endometrosis runs in my family. It's not real hard but it feels like scar tissue. It hurts when i press on it and it seems to have migrated from the crease where my leg and crotch come together to the left labia lip. It is not red or swollen, i can't even tell it's there unless i press on it.  If anyone could help me with this i would really appreciate it. I also had a pregnancy terminated about 2 years ago and think that it could be scar tissue but would assume that if it was then it would have shown up before now! Thanks for all you help.

Well I did have a child, but it was c-section, and I never terminated a pregnancy, but I actually noticed this on the exact same side, exact same spot on me as well. My first thought was some kind of cancer, but I don't think that could be possible... its not like its a breast lump or something. I am not entirely sure , but if you find anything out, please send me a message and let me know. Thanks

It's probably a Bartholin Gland Cyst.  I have had one.  Go to the gyno.  If it gets too big they might want to remove it.  Mine went away on it's own but my grandmother had one that was so large they had to remove it.  It's nothing serious, just a blocked gland.
