It is very normal for boys of any age to have 'hard on' My friend's son calls them '****-fats' meaning that when a little boy is needing to go to have pee their bladder fills and the nerves press on the erectile part of the penis, causing an erection. It is totally harmless, and provided you don't draw attention to it, he will grow up happily.
