help, I'm at the end of my rope...

I have had low back pain for a long time now.  I am 32 years old and as a young man I was active in football, sports, and I still break and train horses.  In 1997 I spent 17 days days in coma from a horse training accident.  To this day, no Dr. notes any of my pain or weakness to be caused by that accident, so we won't worry about that.  Now, when I sleep, my left arm is starting to sting, go numb, and fall asleep.  It is to the point of waking me up as well.  I have gone to several different chiropractors, currently visit an accupunture therapist, and I have seen several Dr./specialists (although I have never been able to get an MRI prescribed to look at my lower back).  I have actually found out I have multiple problems but the sleeping disruption has only started in the last few months.  I have 3 bulging discs in my upper thoracic/neck, bone spurs, and 2, 20 degree curves in my spine from Scoliosis since I was a child.  Therefore, I have arthritis in my back and the only relief I feel is when I excercise vigorously.  Due to 2 prior right knee surgeries, I do 3 miles or so on an eliptical machine several times a week.  I lift regularly and I am VERY active outdoors with hunting, horses, and sports.  Dr.'s don't seem to not have an answer as to why my low back gives me no relief and they just say, "keep doin what your doin."  I don't feel like that is good enough since my low back pain is ever present and sometimes there is failure when I bend over, lift, or move certain ways.  Does anyone have any recommendations, I am at the end of my rope and hanging on.
