Pain with Walking after Calcaneus Fracture

by Lauraflirt, Dec 20, 2007 04:36PM
Hi!  I fractured my calcaneus 7 weeks ago right before halloween.  After 6 and a half weeks, my doctor said that I could start walking on it.  Its been less then a week of walking on it and im in a lot of pain on the outside of my foot.  It almost feels like a small shock everytime i put a lot of pressure on that foot.  When im walking I seem to walk (or favor) on the outside of the foot where my pain is.  Anyhow, I wanted to know if this was normal for my foot to still hurt a week after getting out of my cast?  My foot almost feels like it needs to be poped back into place, like im walking on it funny.  How long can I expect this pain for??

I appreciate any help, thank you.
