another doctor

Hi,

I'm a 37 male, diagnosed with spinocerebellar Ataxia in 2004, By Dr. Lederman. I did not like his diagnoses and is outlook on that, which led me to find Dr. Gomez out of MN, who confirmed the diagnoses. Currently Dr. Gomez is in Chicago, which is closer for me, but still a burden since I won't fly and I have to have a ride every visit.

Recently my brother sent me some articles from your forums http://www.medhelp.org/HealthTopics/Cerebellar_Ataxia.html and the articles listed several doctors (Dr. Shields, Dr. Levin and Dr. Pioro). Which brings me to my question. I'd like to see a doctor closer, and being in Columbus certainly puts me closer to the Cleveland Clinic. From the articles I read, I got the scense the aforementioned doctors, help lead me to a diagnoses not an actual diagnoses, is that correct? Or did I misunderstand and these doctors are actually specialists in that field and would be able to actually see me? I have absolutely no problem with Dr. Gomez, it's just the distance thing.

Thank you for your time and look forward to a response.

Thank you,
Giansataxia
