Lower and upper jaw expansion still possible at 22?

by Jawish, Dec 22, 2007 06:18AM
A while ago I started noticing that my lower jaw is sorta underdeveloped.
I did a bit of research and came to the conclusion that I might have a narrow dental arch, both upper and lower jaws look narrow. I had TMJ problems in the past as well and often I wake up with my nose as if I have a cold even during the summer, I even used to breathe trough my mouth.
I'm kinda afraid of surgery after seeing some videos of a surgery so I'd like to avoid it if possible..
I'm also curious about facial changes a procedure like this might bring, I heard the lower jaw becomes wider but what about the upper jaw??

BTW I'm not 22 yet but will be in less than a month. Thank you.
