I had a mastectomy with reconstruction 2 years ago. The expander I have is temporary with a metal port which has to be removed. I never had it removed as I was not aware that a metal port was there. Is it fine if I wanted another plastic surgeon to do the procedure of removing the port?

Dear blinky127, There is no reason that a different plastic surgeon from the one who inserted the port could remove it if they are willing to do so after evaluation.
