High Protein and Starch Diet - Am I in danger?

I am a 25 year old, fairly active, male and my diet has consisted of mainly meat and starches for aslong as I can remember.  I do not eat vegies or fruits regularly; I guess I should rephrase that...I hardly ever eat vegies unless it is broccoli with cheese or fried cabbage (occasionally corn).  Up until recently I thought it was normal to have bowel movements once a week, and after talking to others who go daily or a couple times a week I have become worried.  I am very fit, and I have consistently weighed 165 lbs for the last 6 years of my life.

Is my diet a problem, and if so what are some things I can do to combat my bad eating habits besides eating more vegies?  Are there any healty supplements that I should consider or do I just need to change my entire diet?

change entire diet!!! I am 26 F and ate very badly and had some huge life change I went from no veggies lots of sodas and Mcdonalds and steaks no salads no fruit etc to eating nothing but organic veggies atleast 1 salad a day and lots of fruits organic meats I added alot of yougart go to your grocery store and just walk down the organic isle and reallllly look at the food and what it has to offer your body. There is this yourgart called FAGE I get the kind with honey, it is unbelievable! nnever had anything like it! also go to the produce isle where they keep the salad and look for bolthouse green machine awesome stuff so good for you and a protien shake by NAKED juice they make lots of different kinds but pick up the protien shake. just try this stuff for a week my husband had constant diareah for years of bad eating but after one week eating like this now has normal bowel movements. add a good multivitamin some calcium/MAG combo liquid I use one by KAL really good also add omega 3s like fish oil or flax seed oil, change your bread to a flax seed 7 grain bread change your butter and you cooking oil to organic coconut oil change your salt to a sea salt like celtic sea salt. we as a society eat really bad just beucase you are idel weight doesnt mean your getting everything out of your body or you healthy on the inside but we are both young and if we make some changges now it will not only help with bowel movement but health now and in the furutre! good luck....also get the bread with fiber my bread is a flax 7 grain with alot of fiber eat alot of apples bannas are to high in sugar. but get more fiber even if you just add metemusil or somthing like that!
