i was told that the excess facial hair was due to a hormone inbalance and that the only way to get rid of it would be waxing. what i have found helpful is i use nair and things like that

hi, I am 57 and have battle this problem all my life.  I have spent thousands of dollars and countless years of electolsis with no success.  I finally decided to try laser treatments and with only 3 treatments all my facial hair has just about gone away.  it is worth every penny for this treatment.  I go every few months for a touch up.  PLEASE do not pluck it will only stimulate more hair growth.  hope this helps.  At least look into it  and get some more info.

Laser Hair Removal worked for me...as long as I was on birth control. This only seemed to work for me until I had a hormone shift. As soon as I got off the pill, hormones changed and I was having to have more treatments.

I had facial hair every day that I had to shave off or pluck. I went on a low carb diet (atkins) and it leveled out my hormone levels and made the hair growth considerably slow down. It was better than taking BC pills because once your hormones levels are normal on this diet, they stay that way. No fluctuations. I am just excited because it worked for me, but a lot of people are really skeptical about the diet. It works, so anyone who doesn't try it, can't really say anything bad about it because they don't know.
