Cramps

by Talaa, Jan 01, 2008 10:35AM
I am 20 and I've been having the worst camps for the past year, eversince i became sexually active. the thing that scares me is that I get the cramps after i finish my period for about 5days or maybe more. the cramps stay for long hours (6-12) and sometimes for the whole day. Panadols don't seem to work anymore. I was wondering if this case is normal? and what can i do about it

Hello,

Perhaps you should try Ibuprofen (Motrin or Advil) for your cramping.  Your symptoms may be related to intercourse, but it may be due to another cause.  Seeing a gyn for an exam and STD screen would be a good idea.

Best regards,

Dr. Downing
