High ALT & AST

Hello, I'm 39 years old and in pretty good shape. I take 50mg of Zoloft, 10mg of Zetia and 2000mg of Niaspan daily. My latest blood test revealed ALT & AST levels in the 200's. This has happened to me in the past but they always return to normal. I just started lifting weights and running again. I was EXTREMELY sore before my blood was drawn. Is it possible that my strenuous exercise caused my liver enzymes to go up? I also had a bad cold. I would appreciate your input as I'm a little freightened. Happy New Year and thank you.

i think the AST not the ALT can be high with muscle injury but still do not think it would that high. i would look at the drugs you are taking, especially the niaspan.
