Small Bump on base of testicle/penis

by concerned13, Jan 02, 2008 12:00AM
Hi Doctor,

7 days ago I noticed a small pin sized bump on my penis when I trimmed some pubic hair. A hair was growing out of it and I tweezed it figuring it was just ingrown and would go away. It hasn't gone away or changed at all in the past 7 days and I can't feel it but the bump is still there and I'm worried as to what it might be (i.e. wart). It is soft to the touch and skin colored and perfectly round I've included a few pictures to help. Do I need to get this checked my a doctor in person?

I think it's probably not a wart, but I can't tell for sure from the pictures.  I suggest you make an appointment for a doctor to see it in person.  While you're waiting to be seen, leave it alone, because the tweezing may have caused some inflammation that may subside, and if the bump disappears altogether, which it may, that will help the doctor evaluate it more accurately.

Best.
