Questions for + and educated people..

by anon1010, Jan 02, 2008 07:41AM
I have a few questions if you guys don't mind:

1) has anyone on here that is HIV+ gotten acute symptoms in the form of a sinus infection after exposure?
2)I know it's typically 10-14 days however, what is the broadest range of days you will notice these symptoms?  could they be after only a couple of days, or up to a month, or only 10-14 days??
3) In the first couple years after exposure, how does your immune system react to being sick? would you take longer getting over a cold, would you get sick more often, etc etc....I know ultimately this is what happens, but is there any sign of this early on?
3) finally is there any way to tell you are positive (aside from testing) other than acute symptoms and full blown AIDS once the symptoms kick in years down the line?

1. No I haven't
2. usually between 2-4 weeks and last 1-2 weeks
3. Most are not sick at all. No it doesn't take longer to get over a cold or does it take longer to heal.
4. No, the only way to know is by testing and that includes AIDS.

ok, so sinus infection is a non-concern?
what are the symptoms I would have experienced during the ARS period?
diareah?
sore throat?
stomach pain?
fever?

thanks again for the help

HIV does not have specific symptoms. The only way to tell is by testing 3 months after possible exposure.
