Islet cell Cancer

by Barrie358, Jan 03, 2008 08:58AM
My mom is receiving sucessful treatment (lip nodes an tumor shrank) for islet cell cancer. The doctors found an elevated levels in her liver. Could this just be an obsrtuction in her bile duct. She also had her gallbladder removed before treatment and the nurse said it could have possibly leaked out. This has happened within the past two weeks.

What are her options?

Hi.  I'm a little confused here. What substance was found to be elevated in her liver? Bilirubins? Serum liver enzyme levels? I can probably answer your question better if you can clarify this point for me. Thanks.
