Badly blocked right artery

by esgarg, Jan 03, 2008 08:06PM
Doctors,

My father recently underwent angiography. The results showed many blocks (all 80-90%) in the right artery. There was, hence, no point in going for a angioplasty since so many stents were required which did not make sense. Apparently, the muscle damage had already been done.

My question is this - what are the chances of survival for the patient because of this damage? Out of the two arteries, where left divides further into two, the one on the right is almost useless.

What should we do? Even a bypass was not ordered - and I think the reason would be the already damaged muscle part? Can a patient do fine on just the left arteries?
