ovarian cyst????

by lisa1965, Jan 03, 2008 11:33PM
I just received a report from the hospital from a transvaginal ultrasound that was done Dec. 1, 2006 in my local ER.  The report which was never given to me says that they found a complex cystic mass involving the right annaxel region. It says that it could be a single complex cyst with septation or 2 cysts close together.  It also says that it has internal echoes.  it is 5 cm in its greatest extent.  the bottom of the report says that benign and malignant epithelia origin ovarian tumors cannot be excluded.
I had a hystorectomy June 30, 2006, but the right ovary was left.  A large cyst was removed at that time.  It bothers me that the new cyst had grown again between 6/30 and 12/1.  What should my next step be.  I was never notified by the hospital, just picked up the report today and was given this report by mistake.

Hi ,  I live in the uk and if that was me I would be making a very fast appointment with the doctor to find out why I hadn,t recieved this report before . Have you been having any symptoms ? sometimes as cysts get  bigger they cause frequency , pain and backache among other things . It seems very odd to me that this report wouldn,t  have been brought to your attention earlier  unless the doctor thought that the cyst would resolve itself . You need to be asking some questions abouit this and don,t be worried about doing so , its your body and you need to have the contents of that report explained to you .  Wishing you well  love Angie xx
