I have had one surgery in 03/07 for removal right tube and ovary with large mass.  I have extensive adhesions from my ruptured appendix in 1973.  They said they nicked my small bowel twice while they were in me.  I was to have an complete hyst at this time but they said it was to complex and got out.  I've had colonoscopy and endnoscopy (?spelling) which was all neg.  I went to Lahey in Mass in Sept and they did surgery two weeks later.  They removed uterus, cervix, my left ovary and tube.  I again had a very large mass removed and they cleaned up the adhesions the best they could.  I had bleeding after surgery which required 3 units of bloods and I ended up with an infected hemotoma (?spelling) inside my stomach.  I then ended up with cuff cellulitus and a bad ct scan they said showed a show over my colon area.  They put me on NPO for four days and said it must have been a mistake.  Well my last surgery was in October and I still have at times unbearable stomach discomfort and bad bowel habits.  When I sleep at night I wake up when I start to soil myself.  It's always to late and a big mess.  I just had a ct scan and it showed I have  on my ovaries but nothing else. I've checked into the site for the ovary issue since I don't have any but can you help with the bowel problem.I feel miserable and I'm only 37 I don't want to wear diapers to bed and I'm tired if washing sheets etc.  Please Help ME!!---Thanks

If this is fecal incontinence, you may be helped by first visiting a GI physician, a colorectal surgeon, or a urogynecologist. Tey can help you diagnose your problem, and create a solution for you.
Don't give up.

Yes, I'm sad to say it is fecal.  I have been to a GI and had colonoscopy and endoscopy done with all negative results.  I had a test to see how long my stomach takes to work and was told I have gasteopharesis(?spelling) and put on Domperidone three times a day. So, now I take that and Amptriptylene at bedtime and told to wait and see.  After a few weeks I stopped the amptripylene only because I didn't see any improvement and was to tired when I tried to get up in the morning, I have a three and six year old so I must go-go-go!!! I just had a CT scan last week and it showed no areas of concern with the colon.  Can this be right even if the surgeon stated they nicked my small bowel twice in surgery? My primary is alittle more aggressive in trying to help me than the GI doctor who just states it should resolve itself in time.  My primary has me scheduled for a spine MRI next week in case something is there pushing on my bowels.  Which sounded weird at first but now makes sense-I guess. What types of test would you recommend me to consider or a solution?  Thanks in advance for your input and help!!
