worried about love of my life

by janewolfe, Jan 05, 2008 08:59AM
My husband is the love of my life.  I have noticed a sleep twitching 6 years ago. I sent him for a sleep study ....6 years ago / negative.  Now, his twitching at night has progressed from his feet throughout his body. It does not awake him....only me. It feels like a small vibration then a more intense twitch.  He claims, he does not have ANY muscle weakness. He is constantly clearing his throat and while he has not lost any weight, he appears and feels smaller to me.  ( when I hug him:) ) I really should bring him to a neuro but I hate hearing a terrible ALS diagnosis.  Please let me know...if small twitches were happening in his feet ( while asleep) SIX years ago......if it were ALS..........shouldn't it had progressed into full blown symptoms already?  Can someone answer my question?

If it was ALS you'd be a widow by now.

He's fine- he most likely has benign fasciculation syndrome.

He also could have Lyme disease- but I highly doubt he has ALS.  Remember: no weakness = NO ALS!
