Tonsils and Adeniods

by effedup91, Jan 05, 2008 01:03PM
Ok hi im jessica im 16 and I just got my tonsils taken out on New Years. It's obviously my first time. Today is  Jan. 5th and this coming Monday the 7th will be 1 week. and I was wanting to ask, when should my pain be getting better. Ive been taking me med. and my antibiotic when im supposed to. But it seems like I cant breathe, I cant swallow and i havent eatten anything in days. Maybe a little apple sauce here or there, but my throat still hurts. I know its probably because of my age and since im so old, but will someone let me know of anything I can do to maybe get better sooner. Ive also been resting like a bear. Constantly sleeping, take med. then back to sleep. anyways it'll just be nice to hear people saying it will be okay soon.

thanks so much,
Jessica

Jessica,

I think you may want to ask these questions to the doctor who did your surgery.  I am sure he/she would be happy to speak with you directly.  I do not perform the surgery you had but remember having it done when I was 10 years old.

Hope you feel better soon.
