abnormal pap

by johnlinda, Jan 05, 2008 03:36PM
I am 36 years old and recently had an abnormal pap LGSIL (low grade squamous intraepithelial lesion.  I went back in for a colposcopy of which i do not have the results back.  Is there a possibility that I could have cervical cancer at this point that would require a hysterectomy?  This is my first abnormal pap and I have one done each year.  I guess this also means that I have one of the high risk HPV infections also? Please advise and thanks for your time.  P.S.  I am asking because i may possibly want to have another child and am wandering if this is possible now?

Yesterday, 3 days post colposcopy I  passed a large clump ( the size of the smallest tampon)of dark material.  It looked like the "coffee ground" material that he said I would pass just all stuck together.  Does this sound normal to you?
