INSULIN...........?

Why is insulin produced only in beta cells of pancreas? and exact detailed mechanism of its production?

Hi,
I cannnot say WHY insulin is only produced by those cells. They are the ones that have the cellular programming and "machinery" to do so, as specialized endocrine cells.
A detailed description of its production can be found in many biochemistry or biology books, so it should not be difficult to find. It is a bit long and detailed to go into here.
Take care.
