nervous about low progesterone

Is it normal for progesterone to increase one week (go from 13 to 50) and then plummit down to 19?  Hcg levels are perfectly normal and doubling every 2 days?  I'd really appreciate any insight.  Thanks!

I dont think it is normal.  Do you think they could have messed up on the test that showed 50?  I would have your dr draw one more time.  If it is still under 20 talk to them about possibly getting on supplements.  I was on supplements during my pregnancy, I now have a healthy 3 wk old.  Your HCG are doubling so that is a good sign.

thank you so much for writing back!  this is actually my niece who's pregnant and she was put on the progesterone orally after it came back w/ a 13 the first time.  4 days later she went up to 50 and then 4 days after that down to the 19.  now, her doctor is saying that the progesterone taken orally isn't effective for her so he has advised her to take it in suppository form.  she goes in tomorrow to have her blood drawn again.
