Hi, I live in houston Tx. and am 32yrs. of age. I suffer from large breasts. I am currently a 38g and weigh 185lbs. I work around children everyday and it takes alot out of me. I currently do not have insurance and lack the funds to get a proper breast reduction. I suffer from back and neck pain. I have shoulder indentations from my bra straps. I have two sisters that have suffered from the same thing and they have both had reductions. I am currently not in a secure financial state to afford a proper reduction. I was wondering if you know of any pro bono surgeons here in Houston tx. that would probably be able to help me. I am very desperate at this point! Please help if you can. Thank you.

I am frequently asked about free services by plastic surgeons for both cosmetic and reconstructive procedures on this site.  It is unlikely that you will find someone in private practice to agree to do this because of overhead costs of supporting the surgery and all follow-up.  Teaching centers at a university medical center near you may be helpful.  Remember that in addition to professional fees, there are also fees for the anestheiologist and the surgical facility which must be accounted for.
