My Left Breast Has Been Painful

by itzcaroll, Jun 29, 2007 06:42AM
Lately, my left breast has been painful. Every time I move the left breast, there was pain coming from within. It was even worse when I would wear a sports bra. I am not quite sure why it is. I have self-examined my breast to see if either breast has lumps, but they don't. I have noticed they have gotten large as well. And I hadn't have my period for 2 months. I am a virgin and I am 18. I am quite confuse. Please someone help me.

I would see my OBGYN or a breast specialist.

Hi,

The breast pain could be due to a muscle pull, trauma or injury at the site, tight clothes, fibrocystic changes, hormonal changes, infection or inflammation like mastitis, etc.

You should see your doctor or breast specialist to get a clinical examination and rule out the above causes and find out the possible cause in your case.

Have you noticed any abnormal features on breast self examination like breast lumps, skin changes, or nipple discharge etc?

You could take some pain relief medications , breast massage, warm compresses , etc. This could help with your symptoms to some extent.

Let us know how you are doing and if you have any other doubts.

Post us about what your doctor advises.

Regards.
